Vox MV50 Set 50W Guitar Head & Cab - Brian May Special
Sir Brian May and Vox have joined forces to make the legendary guitaristâs iconic tone accessible to all!
Powered by Voxâs Nutube technology â a revolutionary new vacuum tube that produces authentic tube tone at a fraction of the size and power â the MV50 Brian May is based on the MV50 circuitry and AC30 tone, but with the addition of a KAT (Knight Audio Technologies) treble booster, which can be toggled on or off, allowing guitarists to achieve Brian Mayâs instantly recognisable tone.
The MV50 is available individually, or with a matching Vox BC108 speaker cab.
âIt's perfect for any smaller show, and if you want to put a mic in front of it, it'll do for your big gigs as well. I wouldn't mind going on some future stadium gig and seeing how this shapes up,â said Brian May on the MV50 set.
Â
With a 50w output at 4ohms, the MV50 packs a large punch despite its small size, making it just as suited for gigging and rehearsal as for practicing at home. And with speaker emulation in the headphone/line out, the MV50 Brian May can be recorded without needing to mic up a cab.
Look the part:
As well as helping you achieve the unique tone of Brian May, his new signature range of Vox products will also help you look the part. Brian Mayâs signature amPlug and MV50, plus their matching speaker cabs, have been designed as a nod to his iconic âRed Specialâ guitar.
Â
Both productsâ have been finished in red, with their matching cabs finished in Voxâs quintessential diamond-patterned cloth, complemented with Brian Mayâs signature, to represent his personal approval of the amp which bears his name.
